Education & Background

Dr. Emily Lindner is an internist and functional medicine specialist in Chicago, Illinois. She received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and has been in practice for over 25 years. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Dr. Lindner has a combination practice of Functional Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Complementary/Integrative Medicine. She is certified in Functional Medicine and Nutritional Medicine. She also has extensive training in numerous psychological modalities including: Internal Family Systems Therapy, Hakomi, NeuroEmotional Technique, and Somatic Experiencing.

Other training includes Traditional Chinese Medicine, ayurvedic medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, detoxification, nutritional medicine, environmental medicine and homeopathy.

Dr. Lindner received her Medical Degree from Michigan State University and completed her residencies in Psychiatry at Evanston Hospital (Evanston, IL) and Internal Medicine at Illinois Masonic Medical Center (Chicago, IL).  She also completed her internship in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Most of her background is of different modalities, and she has learned different kinds of medicine and self-analysis in order to better understand how to apply it to different issues, conditions, and people.
